In June 2025 , Ⅰ went to Nij0 Castle in Kyoto to see the ”Anselm Kiefer : SOLARIS” exhibition.
This was my first time seeing his authentic work.
Ⅰ felt over whelmed by power, presence, and sense of emptiness emanating from his pieces, from paintings to three-dimensional sculptures.
Ⅰ suppose that’s his consistent sensibility.
Ultimately, his work isn’t meant to be understood, but felt.
Ⅰ believe that’s all there is to it.
